Iowa LawPAC is ISBA’s political action committee. Iowa LawPAC’s Board of Directors are ISBA members and are appointed by the ISBA president with approval from the Board of Governors. Democrats and Republicans are equally represented on the Board to represent the views of our diverse organization.
How are Iowa LawPAC funds distributed?
- The top priority of ISBA Law PAC is to contribute to lawyers who are campaigning for the state legislature.
- Iowa LawPAC contributes only to state legislative campaigns. Many contributions are $200-$250. Contributions to lawyer candidates are $1,000-$5,000. Contributions to leadership are $500-$2,500.
- LawPAC contributes to state legislative candidates who are supportive of ISBA legislative priorities set by the ISBA Board of Governors.
- LawPAC encourages ISBA members to make recommendations regarding state legislative candidate contributions.
How can you contribute to Iowa LawPAC?
- ISBA encourages a minimum donation of $100 per year.
- Please contribute using Venmo @LawPAC, online or check.
- Iowa LawPAC cannot accept corporate contributions. Personal, sole proprietors, partnerships, and LLP contributions are allowed.

- ISBA has one of the most ambitious affirmative legislative programs with 15-20 legislative proposals from ISBA Sections every year.
- ISBA opposes legislation which would adversely impact lawyers and our clients.
