The Iowa State Bar Association (ISBA) offers a classification specifically for non-attorney legal support professionals. The non-attorney affiliate classification is available to paralegals, legal assistants, office administrators, and other legal support staff who are employed by and sponsored by a current ISBA attorney member. This classification offers access to a wide range of professional resources and benefits designed to support legal support staff within Iowa's legal community.
We hope all ISBA members will encourage their support staff or anyone who may be interested to join today. Annual membership is $75 and runs from July 1 through June 30. To apply, a non-attorney affiliate applicant must be sponsored by a current ISBA attorney member.
Non-attorney affiliate membership provides access not only to ISBA communications but also to member services, professional development opportunities, and training resources.

- Eligibility for legal support staff employed by and sponsored by an ISBA attorney member
- Annual dues of $75
- Membership term running from July 1 through June 30; If activated now, your membership is paid through June 2027
