This article serves as The Iowa State Bar Association’s update on recent attorney disciplinary cases, intended to inform bar members of relevant actions and outcomes. Many of these cases are resolved through attorney consent and do not proceed to a formal decision by the Iowa Supreme Court.
As of July 2025, there have been 30 public disciplinary orders issued. These include 14 public reprimands, six administrative suspensions, eight disciplinary suspensions, one license revocation, and one disability suspension. Earlier in the year, the total included 10 reprimands, three administrative suspensions, and seven disciplinary suspensions.
