ISBA Member Rewards
The ISBA is committed to providing quality CLE opportunities at some of the lowest rates in the country to our members. On average, our standard members save up to 30% off registration fees when compared to non-member rates. Individuals within the first five years of practice, who are also members of the ISBA Young Lawyers Division, save approximately 50% on all other event registrations. YLD members (years 1-5) have access to the entire on-demand catalog at no charge. Plus, access to our Annual Meeting is free in a member's first three years of YLD membership.
The ISBA On-Demand Catalog allows our members the flexibility to increase their knowledge at their convenience 24/7. Earning CLE credit has never been easier with our mobile-ready content available whenever you need it, wherever you are.
On-demand CLE activity may be credited toward the CLE requirement of fifteen (15) clock hours per year, established by Court Rules 41.3 and 42.2 of the Iowa Supreme Court. However, no individual attorney may claim more than six hours of pre-recorded computer-based CLE in any one calendar year. (Maximum of 6 hours of on-demand CLE each year).
YLD members (years 1-5) have access to the entire catalog at no charge.
The ISBA CLE index grants you instant access to hundreds of outlines from over 10 years of CLE events. The outlines included in the index are a great way to supplement your research for any case.
The CLE Index is a fully searchable database. You can search by author, seminar subject, or keyword. Because of the complexities of sifting through so much information for something very specific, you may not always get what you are looking for on the first try.
Now you not only get access to the outlines listed in the CLE index, but video content is available for some of our most recent seminars. Please note videos viewed via the CLE Index do not qualify for CLE credit in Iowa.

Commission on Continuing Legal Education
The Commission on Continuing Legal Education administers a program established by the court which requires attorneys to attend continuing legal education (CLE) classes each year. Iowa’s lawyer and judges must complete a minimum of 15 hours of legal education accredited by the Commission each calendar year. This requirement helps ensure that lawyers and judges keep abreast of the latest legal developments. Hours in excess of the minimum requirements may be carried over subject to specific restrictions. The 15 hours must include a minimum of 3 hours every two calendar years ending in the odd-numbered year devoted exclusively to the area of legal ethics. Up to 6 hours of legal education may be attended “on demand” through unmoderated CLE events.
