The ISBA's latest People's Law School event focused on consumer protection information for older Iowans.

Fifteen satellite library locations tuned in for the livestream of the presentation at the bar association headquarters in Des Moines on Tuesday, Aug. 20. Al Perales, a consumer protection investigator for the Iowa Attorney General's Office, was the speaker. He presented his top 10 tips to protect yourself, among other advice about avoiding imposter scams.

The next People's Law School will be held on Sept. 17 with a focus on child custody laws.
