The Corporate Counsel and Trade Regulation Sections of the ISBA will host their annual seminar on Friday, September 23 at the ISBA Headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa. Attendees may also participate via the web.

This is an interesting and well-rounded CLE event that features a number of current topics relating to business law. The yearly CLE provides legal updates on topics particularly relevant to corporate in-house counsel, as well as attorneys in private practice who focus on business matters, business litigation, or complex civil litigation. The CLE will include some familiar topics that are relevant to Iowa’s business community, including an antitrust update, Iowa and U.S. Supreme Court updates and an employment law update. Additional topics this year will focus on employer compliance with immigration related issues and I-9s; updates in corporate governance and an introduction to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

This is always a vibrant CLE with great in-person attendance and informative, engaging speakers.  We hope you’ll be able to attend!
