Laura Wood

Karen Pfab

Laura Wood is Investigator for the State of Iowa, Division of Labor in Des Moines. She handles the enforcement of Iowa Wage and Child Labor laws. She graduated from the University of Iowa and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Sciences. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Mount Mercy University.

For the past 2 years, Karen Pfab has been an Executive Officer for Iowa Workforce Development, Division of Labor Services. She is responsible for the administration of Iowa Wage and Child Labor, which includes the resolution of wage claims. She was a Field Auditor and Supervisor with the Unemployment Insurance Tax Bureau of Iowa Workforce Development for 19 years. Prior to that, she was an Auditor with the Auditor of State’s Office for over 5 years. She graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
