ATTENTION: Due to a water pipe burst at the ISBA building in Des Moines, the main in-person location for the this People’s Law School event has been changed.
The speakers will now be giving their presentation from the Urbandale Public Library at 3520 86th St. in Urbandale. The event, focused on elder abuse topics, will begin at 5:30 p.m. Anyone originally planning to attend the event in Des Moines is welcome to join in Urbandale.

On Tuesday, February 18, The Iowa State Bar Association will host a free public event as part of the “ISBA People’s Law School” series.
The February 18 event will focus on elder abuse. Topics will include:
- Types and signs of elder abuse
- Preventing and stopping elder abuse
- Resources for additional help
