In this two-hour presentation, the following items will be discussed by Catholic Charities immigration attorney Miryam Antunez De Mayolo:

  • Determining what your client's status is: (Citizen, Permanent Resident? Conditional Resident? Undocumented? Visa Holder?) and why it matters

  • Roles and structure of the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration Court and the Department of State

  • Protecting the vulnerable: Asylum, VAWA, U and T visas, unaccompanied minors and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status
