IP Licensing: A Practical Approach to Ensure Contracts Do Not Interfere with Monetizing and Enforcing Patents

Patent licensing as well as the sale of assets and/or litigation to enforce patents is an evolving industry. It is critical for IP professionals and general practitioners to remain informed of updates to licensing strategies, sales and other means of monetizing IP. This includes implications of patent licenses on the enforcement of such assets.

The evolving legal landscape for patent assets requires practitioners to ensure license agreements accurately identify the patent assets and strategically define scope of licensed rights, all the while not negatively interfering with a patentee’s ability to enforce both the contract and the patent(s) involved.

This program will provide an opportunity to hear from both a patent attorney and litigation attorney on key strategies for those in the business of licensing, acquiring, selling and/or litigating patents.
