Iowa Agricultural Development Division (IADD) will hold a regional board
meeting that includes an opportunity for attorneys practicing ag law to learn
more about its programs for landowners and beginning farmers on Friday, Aug.
22, at the Wallace Foundation Learning Center in Lewis.
meeting, which runs from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., including a buffet lunch at
noon, gives ag attorneys and other ag leaders an opportunity to share ideas
with the IADD staff and to learn more about IADD programs. Specific information
that will be presented includes: 1) low-interest loans for the purchase of
land, buildings and equipment; 2) Iowa tax credits for landowners who lease to
beginning farmers; and 3) Iowa tax credits for farmers to hire a beginning
farmer for custom work.
IADD officials request that potential attendees register by
Friday, Aug. 15, so they can adequately plan for lunch. Click here to
