Chief Justice Cady delivers Condition of the Judiciary speech

This morning in the Iowa House Chambers, Chief Justice Mark Cady of the Iowa Supreme Court addressed a joint convention of the General Assembly on the condition of the Judiciary.

Cady's remarks highlighted the value of Iowa's 47 problem -solving courts and innovative approaches to delivering justice. He also addressed the challenges the court faces moving forward.

A delegation of ISBA officers spent the day meeting with state leaders including: Governor Kim Reynolds, Lieutenant Governor Adam Gregg and legal counsel to the governor Colin Smith; Senate President Jack Whitver, Majority Leader Bill Dix and Minority Leader Janet Petersen; and House Speaker Linda Upmeyer, Majority Leader Chris Hagenow and Minority Leader Mark Smith.
