This presentation will provide an overview of the executive branch rule making process in Iowa, including the oversight role played by the legislature's Administrative Rules Review Committee and opportunities for the public to participate in the rule making process.

Three experienced administrative law judges (ALJs) will describe the procedural basics of various types of administrative proceedings, and will offer practice tips for attorneys who appear in administrative hearings. The ALJs will also discuss the Code of Administrative Judicial Conduct and provide examples of its application to specific administrative proceedings.
