Vendors at the Family Law Seminar will have an opportunity to meet 300 lawyers from across Iowa and surrounding states.
This year’s seminar will be held Thursday through Friday, Oct. 23-24, 2014 at the West Des Moines Marriott Hotel in West Des Moines. The Family Law Seminar is one of the most popular of the seminars sponsored by The Iowa State Bar Association, with recent attendance averaging over 350 attorneys from around the state.
Exhibit space will be available at the West Des Moines Marriott. Space will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis and we will continue to accept registrations until the space is full. We invite you to apply for space in our exhibit hall. The cost of exhibiting is minimal and has remained far below what you would expect to pay to exhibit at other events such as this. Vendor Booth Payment
The rental fee for each 8-foot table is $250 and is payable with request. Booth assignments will be made at the discretion of ISBA.
Please contact the ISBA offices if you are interested in being a break sponsor. Break sponsors receive space for a 1 page ad in the Family Law Seminar book. Break sponsors will receive a sign on the break area recognizing their sponsorship. Break sponsors will be acknowledged during the program. The cost for break sponsorship is $400 and includes booth space. Please make sure you email a copy of your logo in with your vendor form. Please note the Friday a.m. break sponsorship is already filled. The Thursday break sponsorships are still available.

Lunch sponsors will receive a sign recognizing their sponsorship. Lunch sponsors will be acknowledged during the program. The cost for Lunch sponsorship is $600 and includes booth space. Please make sure you email a copy of your logo in with your vendor form. Please note the Thursday and Friday lunch sponsorships are already filled.
Chair’s Reception Sponsorship
Please contact the ISBA offices if you are interested in being a Reception sponsor. Reception sponsor receive space for a 2 page ad in the Family Law Seminar book. The ad must be done in gray scale. Reception sponsors will receive a sign recognizing their sponsorship. Reception sponsors will be acknowledged during the program. The cost for Reception sponsorship is $600 and includes booth space. Please make sure you email a copy of your logo in with your vendor form. Please note the Chair's Reception sponsorship is already filled.
Vendor Application and Agreement
Raffles and drawings will be permitted and encouraged. Raffles, drawings and giveaways help draw attendees to your booth spaces. Please contact the Christy Cronin at the ISBA if you plan to provide prizes during the trade show. Drawing winners will be announced October 24, 2013 at the end of the seminar. We encourage all vendors, giving away prizes to attend the last session and be recognized for your support of the Family Law Seminar.
The vendor area will be available for installation of exhibits from 6:30 am to 7:30 am on Thursday, October 23. All vendor materials and equipment must be removed from the vendor area by 5:30 pm on Friday, October 24.
All vendor materials must conform to the fire regulations and electrical codes of the West Des Moines Marriott. All packing materials and containers must be removed from the floor and aisles. No exhibit may protrude into the aisle or block the view of neighboring vendors. Vendors are prohibited from attaching anything on the surface of the West Des Moines Marriott Hotel’s property. Vendor’s printed materials may be distributed within the assigned booth area only. Any materials ISBA considers
objectionable will not be allowed to be distributed.
Vendor Badges and Registration
ISBA will provide vendor badges. Please use the attached application form to identify the names of your organization’s representatives who will be in your booth. Each vendor will receive a vendor packet at their booth on Thursday, October 23. The vendor packet will contain a seminar agenda, vendor name badges, printed list of registrants and registrants contact information.
Cancellations by a vendor must be made in writing and must be received by ISBA on or before October 15, 2014. A written cancellation received by ISBA on or before October 15, 2014 entitles the vendor to a refund, less a $50 processing fee, of all monies paid by the vendor to ISBA before that date. Cancellations received after that date entitles ISBA to keep all monies received from the vendor.
ISBA shall not be responsible to vendors for damages, losses and/or claims from any cause whatsoever that may arise from vendor’s participation in the Family Law Meeting. Vendors assume the entire responsibility and liability for losses, damages and claims arriving out of injury or damage to vendor’s displays, equipment and other property brought upon the premises of the West Des Moines Marriott Hotel and shall indemnify and hold harmless ISBA employees from any and all such losses,
damages and claims.
Audio and visual equipment being used in one vendor area shall not unreasonably interfere with activities of any other vendor.
Subletting of vendor space is prohibited.
ISBA cannot guarantee against loss, fire and damage. ISBA’s insurance policies do not provide coverage for vendor’s protection. Vendors are responsible for their own property through insurance or self-insurance.
